Job summary

OBT Group, based in Dubai, is seeking a Business Process Coordinator to drive the implementation, adoption, and reliable daily operation of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and related logistics processes across Africa and the Middle East. • Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Support TMS implementation and rollout in assigned countries, including testing and data preparation.
• Monitor TMS usage and system performance; coordinate issue resolution with teams and providers.
• Provide user training and refresher sessions to ensure successful adoption.
• Maintain SOPs, work instructions, maps, and training materials for logistics processes.
• Identify gaps and improvement opportunities; document findings and support corrective actions.
• Assist with system configuration, testing, release implementation, and validation of changes.
• Support data quality and management through checks and follow-up.

As Business Process Coordinator, you will support the implementation, adoption, and reliable day-to-day operation of the Transportation Management System (TMS) and other logistics processes across OBT countries. The role is execution-focused and works closely with country teams, Group IT, and Operations to standardize processes, train users, resolve issues, and improve logistics workflows.

Job Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics operations and business processes/systems support, or a related role.
• Practical understanding of transport or freight forwarding workflows; exposure to a TMS, ERP, or logistics system is preferred.
• Ability to document processes, follow up actions, train users, and work accurately with operational data.
• Structured, hands-on, service-oriented, and comfortable working across countries, cultures, and functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting tools.

Job Responsibilities

• Support TMS implementation and rollout activities in assigned countries, including testing, data preparation, user readiness, and go-live support.
• Monitor day-to-day TMS usage and system performance; coordinate issue resolution with country teams, IT, and system providers.
• Provide user training, refresher sessions, practical guidance, and basic support to ensure consistent and successful system adoption.
• Maintain and update SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and training materials for all logistics related processes.
• Support the standardization and optimization of operational, commercial, and administrative processes within the logistics environment.
• Identify process gaps, recurring system issues, and improvement opportunities; document findings and support corrective actions.
• Assist with system configuration, user acceptance testing, release implementation, and validation of new functions or process changes.
• Support data quality and management through checks, user follow-up, and correction of incomplete or inconsistent information.
• Prepare basic reports on system adoption, process compliance, open issues, training completion, and implementation progress.
• Act as a practical link between country operations and Group functions, ensuring requirements, issues, and changes are clearly communicated.
• Support audits, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement projects related to logistics systems, processes, and SOP compliance.
• High-impact regional role supporting logistics systems and processes across multiple African markets.
• Fluency in French is an advantage.
