Job summary

NOVOTEL in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a Recreation Receptionist to welcome guests and support leisure services. You will manage inquiries, registrations and payments, maintain records, and keep the reception area neat and efficient.

The role requires strong communication, hospitality experience, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English is essential; Arabic knowledge is a plus. Weekend and holiday shifts are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years of experience in customer service or hospitality.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling software.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills and tactful handling of challenging situations.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and reconciliations.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and be the welcoming face of the recreation facility.
• Handle inquiries and provide information about facilities, programs and services.
• Process registrations, bookings and payments, maintaining accurate records.
• Manage the reception area, answer calls, respond to emails, and keep the space clean and organized.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating recreational programs and events.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest experiences.
