Job summary

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking an industrious operator for the rebar mill finishing area in Abu Dhabi. You will operate rolling mill machines, perform pre-use checks, and ensure the smooth flow of production while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, GCC exposure is a plus, and a technical certificate or vocational training is preferred. Strong teamwork and fault-diagnosis skills are valued for reliable output.

Qualifications

• Experience operating rebar or rolling mill machinery is preferred.
• Familiarity with safety protocols for heavy industrial equipment.
• Certificate or diploma in a technical trade is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate rebar finishing area machines to ensure smooth production.
• Verify machine readiness and perform pre-operation checks.
• Follow supervisors' tasks and report anomalies in machine performance.
• Identify and report issues such as unusual sounds, current, or tension in equipment.
• Assist in clearing tasks like bar removal, cut ends, and flying rebars.
• Work with team to meet production specifications for quality finishes.
• Follow lockout/tagout and PPE procedures during operations.
• Participate in safety trainings and audits to maintain a safe workplace.
• Coordinate with production supervisors for roll changes and maintenance scheduling.
