Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced machine operator for rebar finishing. The role focuses on smooth operation in the finishing area, ensuring each machine is ready before use and that safety protocols are followed.

You will support supervisors, report abnormalities, and assist with roll changes and maintenance to maintain production efficiency. The position emphasizes adherence to PPE, lockout/tagout, and proactive participation in safety

Qualifications

• Familiarity with industrial machinery and safety procedures.
• Experience operating rolling mills or similar heavy equipment is a plus.
• Ability to report issues and coordinate with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Work closely in the rebar finishing area for smooth and efficient operation.
• Ensure the functionality of each machine before starting the operation.
• Performs task assigned by the immediate supervisors.
• Report any machine abnormalities such as sound, current, tension, etc. to his superior or concerned department.
• Perform clearing activities such as, short bar removal, shear cut ends removal and cutting of "flying" rebars.
• Operate rolling mill machines to achieve the required specifications good rebar finished product.
• Adhere to safety regulations for working with heavy machinery, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Participate in safety training sessions, audits, and initiatives aimed at maintaining a safe work environment.
• Report any issues with rolls or roll-related equipment to the production supervisors.
• Assist in scheduling roll changes and maintenance activities to align with production needs.
