Job summary

Star Services in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Sr. Roller with extensive steel mill experience to operate and maintain rollers for compacting soil, gravel, concrete, and asphalt on construction sites.

You will inspect equipment, ensure safety, and coordinate with the team to complete tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate has a Diploma and at least 8 years of roller operator experience in a long product rolling mill, with familiarity in high-speed block mill operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical engineering.
• Basics of roll pass design.
• Minimum of 8 years experience as Roller Operator in a long product rolling mill.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain rollers to compact soil gravel concrete and asphalt on construction sites
• Inspect equipment before and after use and report any malfunctions or damages to the supervisor
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the roller following all safety protocols and procedures
• Communicate with other team members to coordinate and execute tasks effectively
• Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance
• Assist in training and mentoring junior rollers and other team members
• Adhere to company policies and regulations at all times
