Job summary

Virta is seeking a billing operations professional to lead the configuration and onboarding of client billing accounts. You will collaborate with Engineering, Credentialing, Eligibility, and Finance to ensure readiness and manage the price book documentation.

You will drive platform enhancements across Athena, Zuora, and Salesforce, supervise Data/Charge Entry teams, and mentor junior staff while pursuing process improvements with AI-enabled efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of healthcare RCM experience.
• Experience with direct billing and payer implementations.
• Strong track record managing complex accounts and escalations.
• Experience overseeing Data and Charge Entry contractors/workflows.
• Advanced knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding and payer policies.
• Experience with Athena, Zuora, Salesforce, and JIRA.
• Ability to lead small projects or process improvements.
• Proactive use of AI tools to improve efficiency.

• Lead and oversee the configuration and setup of new client billing accounts to ensure operational readiness.

• Oversee and manage Data and Charge Entry contractors and FTEs to ensure accuracy in billing data and claim submissions.
• Drive enhancements across platforms such as Athena, Zuora, and Salesforce.
• Lead process improvement projects focused on automation, accuracy, and scalability.
• Mentor junior team members and contractors by reviewing work and sharing institutional knowledge.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management (RCM).
• Experience with direct billing and payer implementations.
• Proven success managing complex accounts and resolving escalations.
• Experience overseeing Data and Charge Entry contractors or workflows.
• Advanced understanding of commercial/government payer policies and CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.
• Technical proficiency with Athena, Zuora, Salesforce, and JIRA.
