Jotun MEIA FZ-LLC is seeking an experienced R&D Chemist to develop and maintain coatings, binders, and raw materials. You will support R&D strategy, conduct data-driven development, and transfer knowledge across the organization.

The role requires strong formulation knowledge, experience with performance validation, and proficiency in English. You will contribute to safety and quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across MEIA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor with minimum 4 years experience OR Master with minimum 2 years’ experience.
• Knowledge on fire protection coatings is preferred.
• Strong coatings formulation knowledge in protective coatings, including binder systems and curing chemistries.
• Experience with performance validation and knowledge of test methods and standards.
• Proficient in verbal and written English.

Responsabilités

• Take responsibility for assigned products, projects, tasks, or activities and ensure they meet required quality standards, procedures, and regulations.
• Plan and carry out projects including formulation, testing, and evaluation of results and raw materials with guidance from the Manager or seniors.
• Report and communicate work results to support decision-making.
• Follow all HSEQ procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep the workplace clean, organized, and safe.
