Job summary

Jotun MEIA in Dubai is seeking an R&D Chemist to develop and maintain protective coatings, binders, and raw materials through rigorous testing and evaluation.

You will lead formulation and testing with guidance, report results to support decision-making, and contribute to the R&D strategy while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 4+ years experience or Master with 2+ years in relevant field.
• Strong knowledge of protective coatings, binder systems and curing chemistries.
• Experience with weathering, corrosion and accelerated testing.
• Ability to work independently with structured follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain coatings by preparing, testing, and evaluating materials.
• Plan and carry out formulation, testing, and evaluation with guidance from manager.
• Report results clearly to support decision-making.
• Continuously develop knowledge through training and cross-functional learning.
• Follow HSEQ procedures and maintain safe, organized workspace.
