Job summary

Barrington James is seeking a Technical Pre-Sales professional to join a growing European commercial team, bridging quantum computing with commercial strategy and customer engagement.

You will translate complex quantum capabilities for technical and non-technical stakeholders, engage with prospective customers across Europe, and support the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract discussions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, ML or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in the private sector.
• Strong understanding of quantum computing fundamentals.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Technical Pre-Sales or Solutions Engineering.
• Fluent professional English.
• Startup/scale-up experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the value of advanced quantum computing technologies to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Engage with prospective customers across Europe and identify opportunities within targeted industries.
• Translate complex technical capabilities into relevant business opportunities for customers.
• Build relationships with customers and executive stakeholders.
• Support the sales process from initial engagement to contract discussions.
• Collaborate with sales, product and R&D to understand technology, products and roadmap.
• Attend conferences, industry events and customer meetings across Europe.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategy and engagement processes.
