Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major infrastructure project. You will manage costs, prepare Bills of Quantities, and review payments and variations to protect commercial interests.

The role requires strong knowledge of FIDIC, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Review and evaluate interim payment applications and contractor claims.

• Monitor contractual and commercial matters in accordance with the contract.
• Review and assess Extension of Time (EOT) and associated cost implications.
• Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, payments, and commercial correspondence.
• Support the preparation of commercial reports and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, Contractor, and project team on commercial matters.
• Identify potential commercial risks and provide recommendations to the project management team.

Experience Required:

• Strong experience in infrastructure and construction projects.
• Strong experience in variations, claims, payments, and cost control.

Education Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Skills Required:

• Good knowledge of FIDIC and construction contract administration.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
