Job summary

Gardinia Contracting, the integrated construction arm of Azizi Developments in Dubai, seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage cost planning, BOQs, and tender processes for luxury residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

You will review drawings, prepare cost plans, conduct value engineering, and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the commercial team to ensure competitive bids and accurate submissions.

Qualifications

• BE or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings/documents.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and PlanSwift is essential.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other project drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs per project requirements.
• Analyze drawings to identify discrepancies, omissions, scope gaps and cost implications.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.
• Prepare tender documents, pricing schedules, BOQs, and commercial enquiries.
• Issue and manage tender enquiries and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers during the tender period.
• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations, including commercial and technical comparisons.
• Prepare tender comparison statements and provide recommendations based on commercial analysis.
• Conduct value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Prepare cost plans and update estimates based on design development and revisions.
• Monitor changes in project scope and assess their cost impact during pre-contract stage.
• Review contractual requirements, preliminaries, specifications, exclusions and commercial conditions.
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical project rates and benchmarking info.
• Ensure estimates, BOQs, tender documents, and commercial submissions are prepared accurately and within deadlines.
• Post tender analytical/Value engineering proposals.
• Prepare reports to commercial department like Resource, Materials wastage, Total Manhours.

Role Description:

• Post tender analytical/ Value engineering proposal.
• Prepare the different report to commercial department like Resource report, Materials wastage report, Total Manhours Reports.
• Labour productivity to be analyzed and incorporated in the budget cost.
• Monitoring the stages of a project to make sure that costs are kept in line with forecasts.
• Prepare bill of quantities in line with POMI guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Requirements:

• BE or B.Sc. Civil Engineering
• Min: 10-15 years of experience in Pre & Post Contract Experience
• Computer and Software Proficiency -AutoCAD, Plan swift
• Functional Pre-Requisites Skills-ability to read and interpret technical documents.
