Job summary

Baker Hughes in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Quality Inspector - Product QC to inspect parts according to drawings and specs, and to maintain inspection and calibration records for measurement equipment. You will drive quality culture and support non-conformance reporting.

Successful candidates have 3 years in quality inspection, strong communication, and the ability to read procedures and technical drawings. You will work with SAP/QMT systems and participate in audits and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in Quality inspection in manufacturing industry.
• Ability to read and apply established procedures and technical drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and SAP/Oracle systems.

Responsibilities

• Performing parts inspection in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining inspection logs and calibration records for testing equipment.
• Initiating non-conformance reports for non-compliant products.
• Collaborating with site quality and manufacturing engineering on corrective actions and continued improvement.
• Programming or calibrating TMMDE equipment as required.
• Participating in quality audits and root cause analysis.

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for:

• Performing parts inspection in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications.
• Completing and maintaining inspection records, inspection logs and calibration records for the testing, measurement, monitoring and detection equipment (TMMDE).
• Verifying completeness of all operations and records.
• Initiating non-conformance reports on all products, parts, assemblies and subassemblies that are not to requirements.
• Driving quality culture to their plant.
• Collaborating with site quality and manufacturing engineering on RCA, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Working with Baker Hughes management system databases and systems (SAP, Alfresco, QMT, BHOS, DocQuest etc.).
• Participating in quality audits, material review boards, kaizens or root cause analysis.
• Programing or calibrating TMMDE equipment.
• Following the competency management program requirements and works under GENERAL supervision.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have High School Diploma or certificate in technical discipline preferred
• Have 3 years’ experience in Quality inspection in manufacturing industry.
• Have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools
• knowledge of SAP QN or ORACLE NCM.
• Have ability to read and apply established procedures.
• Have ability to use Hardness Machine
• Have ability to perform dimensional inspection.
• Have ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Have ability to identify and use monitoring and measuring equipment needed to verify requirements.
