Job summary

Baker Hughes Company in Dubai is seeking an Assembler - Mechanic Technician to perform complex assembly of completion tools and equipment to the highest industry standards, with strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The role involves mentoring less-experienced assemblers, setting up and troubleshooting special purpose machines, interpreting drawings and specs, testing assemblies, and documenting results while maintaining meticulous records and a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience in oil and gas equipment.
• Proven proficiency in pressure testing is a plus.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting special purpose machinery for completion tools.
• Ability to interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools and equipment to the highest industry standards.
• Lead or mentor less-experienced assemblers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
• Conduct advanced pressure testing and analyze results to ensure compliance with rigorous specifications and safety regulations.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshooting special purpose machines and sophisticated manufacturing equipment designed for completion tools.
• Inspecting, testing, and calibrating completed assemblies to ensure proper function and quality standards.
• Interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents with accuracy and efficiency.
• Documenting assembly processes and test results thoroughly, reporting findings and improvement ideas to management.
• Championing all safety procedures and foster a culture of safety and accountability on the shop floor.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or engineering training strongly preferred.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly for oil and gas equipment, proven proficiency in pressure testing is plus.
• Have demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting special purpose machinery for completion tool manufacturing.
• Have exceptional ability to interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
• Have experience mentoring or leading a team in a technical environment is a strong asset.
• Have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Be able to lift up to 15kg and stand for extended periods.
• Be comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
