Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Assembler - Mechanic Technician in Abu Dhabi to perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools and related equipment. You will mentor junior assemblers, conduct pressure testing, and troubleshoot sophisticated machinery used in oil and gas tool manufacturing.

The role requires interpreting detailed drawings, ensuring safety standards, and documenting processes. A strong technical background and hands-on experience are essential to support a dynamic manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical or engineering training preferred.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience in mechanical assembly for oil & gas equipment.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting special purpose machinery for completion tool manufacturing.
• Ability to interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly tasks for completion tools to the highest industry standards.
• Lead or mentor less-experienced assemblers and provide technical guidance on best practices.
• Conduct advanced pressure testing and analyze results to ensure compliance with specifications and safety regulations.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot special purpose machines and equipment designed for completion tools.
• Inspect, test, and calibrate completed assemblies to ensure proper function and quality standards.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents with accuracy and efficiency.
• Document assembly processes and test results, reporting findings and improvement ideas to management.
• Champion safety procedures and foster a culture of safety on the shop floor.

As an Assembler - Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing complex assembly tasks for completion tools and equipment to the highest industry standards.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or engineering training strongly preferred.
• Have a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical assembly for oil & gas equipment, proven proficiency in pressure testing is plus.
• Have demonstrated experience operating and troubleshooting special purpose machinery for completion tool manufacturing.
• Have exceptional ability to interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
• Have experience mentoring or leading a team in a technical environment is a strong asset.
• Have excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Be able to lift up to 15kg and stand for extended periods.
• Be comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
