Job summary

Al Shirawi Infrastructure Construction is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to ensure water infrastructure works comply with drawings, specifications, ITPs and industry standards in the UAE. You will develop project-specific QA/QC plans, review submittals, monitor site activities, and liaise with consultants and laboratories to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering graduate or similar is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience as QA/QC Engineer in water infrastructure projects in UAE.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain project QA/QC plans, ITPs and method statements.
• Conduct inspections of materials, works and installations per specs and standards.
• Review material submittals, test reports and certifications for compliance.
• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and client requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, clients and labs for inspections and testing.
• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation including inspection records and test results.
• Support audits and ensure closeout of findings.
• Assist in handover documentation (QA/QC dossiers, as-built records).
• Promote continuous improvement and quality awareness across project teams.

Job description

To ensure that all water infrastructure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, ITPs, quality standards, and applicable authority requirements.

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Plans, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and Method Statements.

• Conduct inspections for materials, works, and installations as per project specifications and international standards.

• Review and verify material submittals, test reports, and certifications to ensure compliance.

• Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and client requirements.

• Liaise with consultants, clients, and third-party laboratories for inspections and testing.

• Identify non-conformances, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and follow up on corrective/preventive actions.

• Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation including inspection records, test results, and reports.

• Support in internal and external audits and ensure closeout of findings.

• Assist Project Manager/Quality Manager in ensuring project handover documentation (QA/QC dossiers, as-built records, etc.) is complete.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness across project teams.
