Fichtner seeks an experienced PV Electrical Construction Manager for Owner's Engineer responsibilities in Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Owner's team of site inspectors and coordinate site supervision activities.
• Oversee electrical construction, testing, and commissioning of PV systems, MV infrastructure, substations, and related facilities, ensuring design and quality compliance.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance, progress, quality, safety, and schedules; identify risks and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with EPC contractor, consultants, OEMs, utility representatives and stakeholders for effective project execution.
• Witness inspections, testing, energization and commissioning; review documentation and support handover and final acceptance.

We are looking to fill a site position in Abu Dhabi from September 2026 with an experienced PV Electrical Construction Manager for Owner's Engineer (18 month contract).

Overall Work Tasks

Responsible for overseeing and monitoring all electrical construction activities for a utility-scale solar PV project on behalf of the Owner, ensuring compliance with contractual, technical, quality, safety, and schedule requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Owner's team of site inspectors and coordinate site supervision activities.
• Oversee electrical construction, testing, and commissioning of PV systems, MV infrastructure, substations, and associated facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, approved designs, and HSE requirements.
• Monitor EPC contractor performance, construction progress, quality, and technical compliance, identifying risks and supporting the timely resolution of issues and interface challenges.
• Coordinate with the EPC contractor, consultants, OEMs, utility representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution and design implementation.
• Witness key inspections, testing, energization, and commissioning activities, review technical and quality documentation, and support project close-out, handover, and final acceptance.

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• At least 15 years of professional experience
• Ability to work independently on-site and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in working on site
• Good knowledge of English in writing, speaking, and listening
