Context

The Project Coordinator - Solar PV will act as the technical link between clients, engineering teams, procurement, sales, business development, site teams, authorities, and utility stakeholders. The role supports the successful delivery of residential solar projects by ensuring technical feasibility, proper planning, compliant installation, accurate documentation, timely approvals, and smooth commissioning. It requires practical coordination skills, strong solar PV knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage project activity across office and site environments.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate residential solar PV projects from design finalization through installation, commissioning, handover, and post‑installation support.
Review technical drawings, solar layouts, single‑line diagrams, BOQs, equipment schedules, and engineering documents in coordination with technical teams.
Conduct technical site surveys to assess roof condition, structural feasibility, electrical readiness, shading impact, access limitations, and installation constraints.
Support system sizing, solar module selection, inverter selection, equipment configuration, and technical validation based on client needs and regulatory standards.
Coordinate project schedules, site readiness, manpower planning, material availability, and installation sequencing to support timely execution.
Ensure installation teams follow approved technical specifications, engineering drawings, safety requirements, and quality standards.
Monitor on‑site installation quality, cable routing, mounting structure placement, panel alignment, inverter installation, earthing, and electrical connectivity.
Identify and resolve technical issues during installation, testing, commissioning, and grid connection activities.
Oversee inverter configuration, grid synchronization, performance testing, system checks, and commissioning readiness.
Coordinate with authorities, utilities, consultants, and inspection teams for approvals, site inspections, compliance reviews, and grid connection processes.
Maintain accurate project records including as‑built drawings, commissioning reports, inspection documents, compliance records, testing sheets, and handover files.
Support Operations and Maintenance planning by arranging performance checks, preventive maintenance schedules, and system monitoring requirements.
Coordinate with procurement teams to confirm equipment compatibility, delivery status, stock availability, warranty details, and technical specifications.
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to validate technical feasibility before project closure or final client commitment.
Communicate project updates to clients, internal teams, site supervisors, and management with clear timelines, risks, and action points.
Track project milestones, approval status, material movement, installation progress, commissioning activity, and pending technical issues.
Assist in preparing method statements, project schedules, technical reports, site visit notes, and client coordination updates.
Ensure solar PV project execution remains aligned with engineering standards, local regulations, safety practices, and customer expectations.
Support troubleshooting after installation when required and coordinate corrective actions with technical or Operations and Maintenance teams.
Maintain professional communication with clients during site coordination, installation planning, commissioning updates, and handover discussions.

Ideal Profile

Experience in solar PV project coordination, renewable energy project execution, residential solar installations, or technical project support.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field is preferred.
Good understanding of residential solar PV systems, rooftop installations, inverter configuration, grid connection, equipment selection, and commissioning.
Ability to read and review solar layouts, single‑line diagrams, BOQs, technical drawings, as‑built drawings, and compliance documentation.
Experience conducting site surveys for structural feasibility, electrical readiness, shading analysis, roof layout, access limitations, and installation constraints.
Knowledge of solar modules, inverters, batteries, mounting structures, cables, protection devices, earthing, and grid synchronization.
Familiarity with authority approvals, utility coordination, inspection processes, and solar project compliance requirements in the UAE is preferred.
Strong coordination skills with engineering, procurement, sales, business development, site teams, suppliers, clients, and regulatory stakeholders.
Ability to manage project schedules, follow up on pending actions, track documentation, and support timely project delivery.
Practical awareness of installation quality, site safety, testing procedures, commissioning requirements, and handover documentation.
Good problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage technical issues during installation and commissioning.
Comfortable visiting project sites, coordinating with installation teams, and communicating technical details to clients and internal teams.
