Job summary

Accor is seeking a housekeeping team member in a hotel setting. You will report for duty on time, maintain a spotless lobby and public areas, and support the Executive Housekeeper with routine cleaning tasks and safety compliance.

Preferred candidates have at least 1 year of experience in a 4-5 star hotel and are available to join immediately. This role offers exposure to luxury hospitality standards and opportunities for growth within Accor properties worldwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a 4-5 star hotel.
• Immediate joining is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reports for duty on time in proper uniform and signs attendance sheet.
• Receives work assignment and supplies from Supervisor, signs for the key in key-log and is responsible for the key in possession.
• Cleans the lobby, dusts/mops floors, dusts furniture, wipes tables, polishes brass, cleans ashtrays, disposes garbage and cleans heart-of-house areas.
• Carries out special cleaning tasks as assigned and spots and vacuums carpet in restaurant and public areas at scheduled times.
• Dusts walls, counters, telephones and fixtures; cleans guest lifts, brass, mirrors, walls and carpets periodically.
• Ensures storeroom is clean and tidy, cleans and stores cleaning equipment properly, and reports repairs or maintenance needs to Supervisor.

Job Description

• Reports for duty on time, in proper uniform and signs attendance sheet in and out daily.
• Receives work assignment and supplies from Supervisor, signs for the key in key-log (received and returned) and is responsible for the key in his/her possession.
• Cleans the lobby, dust/mops floors, dusts furniture, wipes tables, polishes brass, clean ashtrays, disposes garbage and cleans the heart-of-house areas as per the standards set.
• Carries out special work as and when assigned.
• Spots and vacuums carpet in restaurant and public areas as per scheduled time.
• Dusts walls, counters, telephones and fixtures.
• Cleans guest lifts, brass, mirrors, walls and carpets periodically.
• Makes sure the storeroom is clean and tidy
• Makes sure cleaning equipment is clean, well maintain and properly stored.
• Advises Supervisor of any repairs or maintenance work required.
• Reports all broken or out-of-order items to Supervisor immediately.
• Deposits all Lost and Found articles in Housekeeping office immediately.
• When assigned, services public toilets.
• Adheres to safety regulations.
• Regularly checks ashtrays, guest lifts, and public washrooms.
• Picks-up any litter from corridors and pathways.
• Empties waste bin in all assigned areas.
• Attends and participates in continuous training programs
• Assists in implementing emergency procedures when requested.
• Assume responsibilities on work delegated by Executive Housekeeper.
• Adheres to all hotel policies and procedures.
• To generally promote and ensure good inter-departmental relations.
• To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
• To demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times
• To adhere to company and hotel rules and regulations at all times.
