Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai is seeking a dynamic Proposals / Estimation Engineer – Electrical with strong expertise in Electrical and Control Systems to prepare estimation, technical and commercial proposals for turnkey projects in airport equipment, MRO hangar, and infrastructure developments.

The role requires coordinating with suppliers, developing engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with IEC/BS/IEEE/NEC and local regulations, and supporting the sales team through the project

Qualifications

• Review RFQs, specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop compliant technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, pricing sheets, and commercial summaries.
• Develop technical solutions and prepare compliance statements, deviations, SLDs, control schematics, and system architecture drawings.
• Select suitable electrical and control system equipment and coordinate with OEMs and suppliers for technical and commercial support.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, BS, IEEE, NEC and local authority regulations.

Responsibilities

Position OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and result-driven Proposals / Estimation Engineer – Electrical with strong expertise in Electrical and Control Systems. The candidate will be responsible for preparing estimation, technical and commercial proposals for turnkey solution projects. The role involves understanding customer requirements, developing engineering solutions, selecting appropriate equipment, coordinating with suppliers, preparing cost estimates, and supporting the sales team throughout the project lifecycle.The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of electrical engineering, HVAC systems, industrial controls, low-voltage power distribution, and system integration. The role involves working on Airport Equipment and MRO Hangar and infrastructure developments, ensuring all electrical works comply with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in MEP systems, and possess excellent communication skills, strong technical understanding, and the ability to convert technical solutions into commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, specifications, drawings, and tender documents to develop compliant technical and commercial proposals.

• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, pricing sheets, and commercial summaries.

• Develop technical solutions and prepare compliance statements, deviations, SLDs, control schematics, and system architecture drawings.

• Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (IEC, BS, IEEE, NEC) and local authority regulations.

• Develop complete technical and commercial proposals, including engineering solutions, BOQs, cost estimates, technical documentation, compliance statements, and tender submissions.

• Prepare and review engineering documentation, including technical submittals, material datasheets, method statements, BOMs, and engineering calculations.

• Provide technical support to the sales team, participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, and tender clarification discussions.

• Support project handover, engineering, procurement, execution, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and after-sales technical activities.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and continuous improvement of engineering solutions and processes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Technical Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Power Distribution Systems (LV/MV)

  • HVAC System and related controls

  • ELV Systems (Fire Alarm, CCTV, Data, Access Control)

  • Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems

  • PLC Programming (basic understanding)

• Proficiency in:

  • AutoCAD (mandatory)

  • Revit MEP (preferred)

  • MS Office tools

• Ability to interpret:

  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)

  • Electrical Schematics and Layout Drawings

• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, BS, and local authority regulations (DEWA/SEWA/ADDC).

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

• Experience in proposal engineering or application engineering.

• Knowledge in Industrial Automation, Airport Systems and Infrastructure

• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
