Confidential Company is seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to drive design reviews, construction oversight and handover for complex electrical systems in Abu Dhabi. You will coordinate consultants, contractors and suppliers, ensuring safe, reliable and maintainable power distribution across MV/LV networks.

Lead the electrical engineering and construction oversight function on behalf of the company from design review and procurement through installation commissioning and handover Coordinate consultants contractors and suppliers to deliver safe reliable and maintainable electrical systems that meet contractual requirements project budgets and delivery milestones strong
Establish and communicate electrical project requirements design criteria and technical acceptance requirements Review consultant and in-house designs specifications single-line diagrams layouts and equipment schedules for compliance completeness constructability and maintainability Review electrical calculations and studies including load assessments equipment sizing voltage drop short-circuit levels protection coordination earthing and harmonics as applicable Identify design gaps and technical risks and coordinate their resolution with the responsible designer Evaluate proposed design changes and value engineering options against performance reliability operating cost and project requirements
Review shop drawings material submissions technical queries method statements and inspection and test plans Assess vendor proposals technical deviations and alternative products provide clear recommendations for acceptance or rejection Support tender evaluations technical clarifications and procurement decisions Track critical equipment approvals and long-lead deliveries with procurement and project teams
Direct electrical engineers and inspectors allocate responsibilities and monitor the quality of their work Oversee electrical installations and verify that contractors implement approved designs and quality requirements Resolve site technical issues with consultants contractors and equipment manufacturers Coordinate electrical interfaces with other disciplines utility providers and specialist system contractors Review contractor programmes resource plans and progress recommend corrective measures where milestones are at risk
Monitor electrical quality performance recurring defects and closure of non-conformance reports Verify that inspection and testing requirements are completed before concealment energisation and acceptance Coordinate authority submissions inspections and technical approvals with the responsible parties Review electrical safety arrangements for testing energisation shutdowns and work affecting operational systems Escalate significant technical quality and safety risks to project management
Review factory and site acceptance test procedures commissioning plans and system acceptance criteria Attend critical factory and site tests and coordinate closure of identified deficiencies Oversee verification of protection settings equipment interlocks automatic transfer sequences and monitoring interfaces Coordinate integrated system testing and failure-scenario demonstrations where required by the project Recommend technical readiness for energisation and handover based on documented completion and test evidence
Assess the technical justification and scope implications of variations substitutions and contractor claims Support quantity verification and progress payment assessments for electrical works Report technical status procurement constraints site progress commissioning readiness and outstanding decisions Maintain clear records of technical decisions and approvals within the company s delegated authority
Lead the technical review of as-built drawings operation and maintenance manuals test certificates warranties spare parts and training records Coordinate snag closure operator training and transition to the facilities management team Support resolution of electrical defects during the defects liability period Mentor engineers and inspectors and improve engineering review and inspection practices
