Reporting To: PMO Lead / Project Director
Role Purpose
Holovis is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the successful delivery of complex immersive entertainment, visitor attraction, AV integration and technology projects across the Middle East and globally.
The Project Planner will own the development, maintenance and reporting of project schedules, working closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads, Commercial teams and delivery stakeholders to ensure robust project controls, accurate forecasting and clear visibility of project performance.
This role will be based in Abu Dhabi and will support projects throughout the UAE, Saudi Arabia and wider region.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Create project baselines, work breakdown structures and milestone plans.
- Build and maintain integrated schedules covering engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning.
- Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks and opportunities.
- Develop recovery plans and mitigation strategies where projects are behind programme.
- Support resource planning and capacity forecasting.
Project Controls & Reporting
- Monitor project progress against baseline schedules.
- Produce weekly and monthly programme reports.
- Analyse schedule variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Support change management by assessing programme impacts of scope changes.
- Provide clear reporting and dashboards to project and executive leadership teams.
- Maintain project controls documentation and planning standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate planning workshops with project teams and stakeholders.
- Support client programme reviews and schedule presentations.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Engineering Teams and Supply Chain partners.
- Ensure planning data supports informed decision-making across the project lifecycle.
Bid & Proposal Support
- Develop tender and bid schedules.
- Support project mobilisation planning.
- Provide programme input during project estimation and planning phases.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in a Project Planning or Project Controls role.
- Significant experience working on engineering, construction, technology integration, themed entertainment, infrastructure or major project environments.
- Advanced Primavera P6 experience is essential.
- Demonstrable experience creating and maintaining complex integrated project schedules.
- Experience conducting critical path and schedule risk analysis.
- Strong reporting and programme management capability.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in the UAE and/or Saudi Arabia.
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary projects incorporating engineering, AV, software, fabrication and construction activities.
- Knowledge of project controls and earned value methodologies.
- Experience supporting client and contractor programme reviews.
- PMP, PMI-SP, APM or equivalent project management/planning qualification.
