Job summary

Royal Joinery in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the fit-out phase of joinery projects, coordinating with clients, subcontractors and suppliers, and supporting design development, procurement and construction to meet schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, 5 years’ joinery project delivery experience, strong knowledge of joinery techniques, and proficiency with MS Project, Primavera P6 or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline.
• 5 years’ experience delivering joinery projects; hospitality and commercial sectors preferred.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials and processes.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Professional certification in project management (PMP) is a plus.
• Experience with MS Project/Primavera/Procore.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage joinery project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resources.

Job Overview

Royal Joinery has its own dedicated workshop to assist clients on high-profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source subcontractors and third-party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialities across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the fit-out phase of RJ projects within the schedule and budget while meeting or exceeding quality standards. The role will involve coordinating and liaising closely between clients, subcontractors and suppliers and supporting the project teams in all aspects of fit-out and finishes including design development, procurement and construction.

Responsibilities

• Design and construction process management for joinery projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation.
• Full design management and management of design teams to develop design solutions that meet the client’s expectations and budget.
• Project team leadership to ensure that the contractor’s design is done in compliance with the contract.
• Contract administration, proactively managing and confirming compliance of contractors and consultants to contract terms and conditions.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality and safety of work performed by contractors.
• Ensure compliance throughout all projects with relevant specifications, standards, health and safety regulations, environmental policies and general duty of care.
• Support in the compilation of tender documents, critically review tender returns, contract negotiations, award of contracts and client reporting.
• Lead project meetings and communicate project status and issues to stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts and other project‑related documentation.
• Prepare and deliver ad‑hoc reports required by the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the joinery industry.
• Strong knowledge of joinery techniques, materials and processes.
• Five years’ experience in delivering joinery projects; commercial and hospitality industry experience is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Professional‑level experience in project operation practices and systems such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or Procore.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and leases, able to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Professional certification in project management, such as PMP, is a plus.
