Job summary

Royal Wood Factory, part of the Royal Joinery group, is seeking a Production Manager to oversee the wood factory’s end-to-end production. The role focuses on planning, organizing, and coordinating activities to deliver high-quality wood products on time for diverse projects.

You will lead production teams, optimize resources, ensure rigorous quality control, and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining a safe working environment. A degreed engineer with lean experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Strong leadership and people-management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with CAD tools and production planning software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule production to meet customer orders and deadlines.
• Contribute to development and optimization of production processes.
• Allocate resources (manpower, machines, materials) efficiently.
• Implement and monitor quality control processes and inspections.
• Monitor costs and identify opportunities for efficiency savings.
• Lead and motivate production teams to meet targets and maintain safety.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity.
• Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment.
• Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.

Royal Joinery has its own dedicated Factory to assist clients on high-profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source sub-contractors and third-party furniture suppliers Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialties across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment As The Production Manager at Royal Wood Factory you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production process within the joinery wood factory and fit-out This includes planning organizing developing and coordinating the production activities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of wood products and fit-out solutions The production manager will play a crucial role in optimizing operational efficiency resource allocation and team management

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Production Planning and Scheduling Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer orders and project deadlines while optimizing resource utilization
• Development Production Process Contribute to the development and enhancement of production processes
• Resource Management Allocate manpower machinery and equipment efficiently to maximize production output
• Quality Assurance Ensure products meet quality standards by implementing quality control processes and conducting regular inspections
• Cost Management Monitor production costs identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient production methods
• Team Leadership Lead train and motivate production teams to achieve production targets and maintain a positive work environment
• Process Improvement Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and streamline operations
• Health and Safety Compliance Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations
• Inventory Management Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages or excess stock
• Reporting Generate production reports performance metrics and other relevant data for management review

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Plan and execute production activities considering customer orders and project specifications Champion safety guidelines and regulations within the production area Provide guidance and supervision to production teams to ensure smooth operations Collaborate with the design team to evaluate design feasibility for production Monitor and manage production processes for accuracy and efficiency Implement rigorous quality control measures to uphold product quality Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement Address production-related challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise Optimize resource allocation to meet production targets effectively

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

Experience in a Joinery company is a must.At least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferablyProvide leadership, guidance, and direction to production supervisors and teams.Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching as needed.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the production department

TECHNICAL KSAs/ CERTIFICATIONS,EDUCATION ETC.

A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field Expertise in woodworking machinery, equipment, and tool's Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is advantageous Proficiency in CAD software for design evaluation and production planning Exceptional leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
