Job summary

The Emirates Group is seeking a proactive Project Manager to lead cross-department initiatives within Group Security, ensuring projects meet defined requirements and deliver expected business outcomes. You will guide efforts from initiation to closure with strong governance and stakeholder engagement.

You will manage timelines, budgets and scope while driving process improvements and ensuring accountability across teams, service providers and internal departments for large, complex programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or honours required.
• 5+ years delivering projects in aviation or similarly complex environments.
• Experience managing large cross-functional programs.
• Experience across concept, design, implementation and operations readiness.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive engagement.
• PM certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP preferred.
• Experience in security/aviation/regulated settings is desirable.

About the Role

As a Project Manager within the Group Security team you will be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering projects in alignment with the Company s project management standards, practices and governance frameworks. You may also represent the Department in large-scale cross-functional business initiatives across the Group. Additionally, you will ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with defined business requirements and achieve the intended business outcomes while adhering to agreed timelines, budgets and scope. You will provide end-to-end leadership throughout the project lifecycle from initiation and planning through to execution, delivery and closure, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and the realization of business benefits. In this role you will ensure regular review of project delivery performance, contribute to improvement of systems, procedures and standards to improve capabilities, assisting the senior management team in continual process, quality and productivity improvement, ensure on time, in scope and within budget delivery of all assigned projects. Initiate and manage projects through all stages to ensure that their progress, quality and the outputs in key result areas are consistent with the scope and targets envisaged in the project charter. Where it becomes necessary take appropriate corrective actions in consultation with the department and support functions concerned. Ensure on time, in scope and within budget delivery of all assigned projects to ensure that - Projects are scoped and initiated in collaboration with Internal Stakeholders and other support functions agreeing project objectives, desired outcomes, milestones, roles and responsibilities with the department heads which are encapsulated with appropriate service levels in agreed project charters. Projects are planned professionally and are then reflected in the Project register, Planning tool of the department. The plan must be realistic, maintained and properly resourced. Project stakeholders are managed properly for the duration of the project to achieve smooth implementation and quick realisation of benefits. Delivery is within the approved timeframe and within agreed cost, driving down costs wherever possible and targeting early delivery. Functional solutions meet agreed requirements and customer expectations are maintainable and meet documented and agreed criteria. IT system solutions are adequately planned, designed in line with corporate standards and tested covering all risk aspects. Risks and issues are assessed and mitigation management strategies are designed and agreed with respective stakeholders prior to implementation. Timely appropriate and accurate project information and reporting are provided to the Project Sponsor and stakeholders and or steering board members as well as to other departments which may be affected by the project outcomes. An implementation and training concept is developed and organised as required by and agreed with the relevant Department or Business unit on a network wide basis. Conflict or disagreements arising from issues or concerns connected with projects are managed appropriately to resolve issues and concerns and mitigate risks. Ongoing system support is designed and implemented with the project go live phase.

Manage the motivation, development, productivity and performance of assigned project team members to achieve the most effective, productive and cost-effective quality solution. Identify developmental requirements coaching team members when necessary to ensure they are equipped to fulfil project deliverables and ensuring that team performance reviews are completed through the PM Review performance management tool. Lead a team of business users representatives from other departments of the Emirates Group and 3rd party service providers to deliver larger complex Department owned projects or provide dedicated support to other larger business projects within the Group.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Bachelor s Degree or Honours (12+3 equivalent)5+ yrs of experience delivering projects within aviation, airport operations, security, transportation, critical infrastructure or similarly complex operations environment preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large, cross functional projects or programmes.
• Experience in managing projects through concept, design, implementation and operational readiness phases is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing projects across the full lifecycle, from concept and design through implementation and operational readiness.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Sound understanding of the operational and functional dynamics of a large, complex organisation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in: Project Management, Change Management and Implementation Systems Development and Delivery Project Management Methodologies and Tools Application Support Business Analysis Professional project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting airport development, operational readiness, security transformation, or large-scale infrastructure programmes is highly desirable.
• Exposure to security, aviation, transportation, or other highly regulated operational environments is preferred.
