Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Project Management in airport/industrial automation.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading project teams.
• Hands-on experience managing milestones and deadlines.
• Strong understanding of project management principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Project and SAP; working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Primavera and Conceptboard.
• Collaborative leader with strong listening, planning, and influencing skills.
• Ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Formulates project parameters, monitors progress, and reports status to stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation including plans, schedules, and risk logs.
• Interact with clients, interpret requirements, and represent them to the Projects Director.
• Identify risks, assess impact, and develop mitigation with the project team.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, QHSE, contract management and other teams to improve execution.
• Communicate project status to the project director in monthly reviews and weekly stand-ups.
• Perform quality control on budgets, schedules, plans and reports.
• Ensure compliance with codes, practices, policies, and specifications.

Be a part of our project execution team as aProject Manager (Industrial Automation)in Dubai, UAE. The objective of the Project Manager (PM) is to implement and complete the project according to the conditions of the customer order and the defined project management standards in such a way that the contractual stipulated performance, quality and scope are delivered in compliance with the target dates and costs.

What are my responsibilities?

• Lead technical, operational, and financial projecttasks for successfully implementing airport baggage/cargo handling system.
• Formulates project parameters and monitors progress, tracks key milestones, and reports on project status to stakeholders using various tools and methodologies.
• Organizing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and risk logs, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to project team members.
• Interacts with clients, interprets their needs and requirements and represents them to the Projects Director for implementation in the field.
• Identify project risks and issues, assess their potential impact, and work with the Project Team and other functions to develop mitigation strategies.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement within the project management framework and collaborating with stakeholders to implement best practices.
• Accurately presents project status to the project director in monthly review meetings and weekly stand-up calls.
• Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans and reports on the project's status.
• Collaborate with internal disciplines such as engineering, procurement, QHSE, contract management, and other internal cross-functional teams to create more efficient project execution methods and enhance the project's profitability.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring alignment of project objectives and priorities.
• Interact with subcontractors to monitor and control their performance.
• Implement frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collection.
• Ensure the project complies with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering orequivalent.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management in airport Baggage/Cargo Handling Systems or large-scale industrial automation projects.
• Minimum 4 years of experience leading, coaching and developing the project teams.
• Hands-on experience in managing complex project milestones and deadlines.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management concepts, practices and procedures, resources and schedule management.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and SAP.
• Working knowledge of Revit, ACAD, Primavera, and Concept board.
