Job summary

GG Selection is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Floor Coating Business to oversee flooring projects from site surveys through surface preparation, application, and handover.

You will lead teams, coordinate materials and equipment, ensure quality, and comply with HSE standards for epoxy, polyurethane and resin flooring systems.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of industrial and commercial floor coatings and proven ability to manage timelines and client expectations on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing floor coating projects (industrial or commercial).
• Strong knowledge of concrete surface preparation and coating application systems.
• Familiarity with epoxy, polyurethane/urethane, polyaspartic coatings and similar resins.
• Good understanding of coating inspection, environmental controls, WFT/DFT, adhesion testing, curing, and common coating defects.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, materials, equipment, schedules, and client requirements.
• Strong project planning, problem solving, communication, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage project completion, snagging, and client handover.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Floor Coating Business to oversee flooring and coating projects from initial site survey and planning through surface preparation, application, quality control, and final client handover.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of industrial and commercial floor coating systems, combined with hands‑on project management experience and the ability to manage site teams, clients, materials, equipment, quality, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage floor coating projects from initial site assessment through execution and final handover.
• Conduct site surveys and assess concrete substrates, including moisture, hardness, contamination, and surface condition.
• Review project specifications, drawings, manufacturer recommendations, and site requirements.
• Plan manpower, materials, equipment, project schedules, and execution methodologies.
• Coordinate specialized surface preparation activities, including grinding and shot blasting.
• Oversee the application of epoxy, polyurethane/urethane, polyaspartic, and other industrial floor coating systems.
• Ensure concrete surfaces are properly prepared and meet the required ICRI Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) or applicable project standards.
• Monitor environmental conditions including temperature, relative humidity, substrate temperature, and dew point before and during coating application.
• Control critical application parameters including mixing ratios, pot life, WFT/DFT, curing times, and recoat intervals.
• Identify and resolve substrate defects and application issues to prevent peeling, blistering, pinholes, delamination, and other coating failures.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, particularly for dust control, chemical handling, VOC exposure, and PPE.
• Manage site variations, additional repair requirements, and change orders where applicable.
• Coordinate quality inspections and testing, including DFT, adhesion, and slip‑resistance testing where required.
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, inspection records, environmental readings, and material batch information.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal project teams.
• Manage project completion, snagging, final inspection, and client handover.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience managing floor coating, resin flooring, epoxy flooring, or industrial flooring projects.
• Strong knowledge of concrete surface preparation and coating application systems.
• Familiarity with epoxy, polyurethane/urethane, polyaspartic, and similar resin flooring systems.
• Good understanding of coating inspection, environmental controls, WFT/DFT, adhesion testing, curing, and common coating defects.
• Experience managing site teams, subcontractors, materials, equipment, schedules, and client requirements.
• Strong project planning, problem‑solving, communication, and client management skills.
• Relevant engineering, construction, coatings, or technical qualification is preferred.
