The position involves managing fire fighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems from initial project planning and design coordination through procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, regulatory approvals, and final client handover. The successful candidate will coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers while ensuring that project activities comply with applicable NFPA standards, the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice, and Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• - Manage fire protection projects from commencement through design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
• - Oversee the execution of fire fighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting system installations.
• - Coordinate project activities with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and project progress.
• - Monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, material availability, procurement activities, and subcontractor performance.
• - Manage multiple fire protection activities simultaneously while maintaining approved project schedules and quality requirements.
• - Ensure project delivery within approved timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.

Technical Compliance and Site Supervision

• - Ensure that fire protection system designs and installations comply with applicable NFPA standards, the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice, and Dubai Civil Defence requirements.
• - Conduct site inspections to verify that installation activities follow approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• - Review ongoing installation activities and identify technical issues that may affect project execution or compliance.
• - Coordinate timely corrective actions with the relevant project teams, contractors, and technical personnel.
• - Maintain oversight of installation quality throughout the project execution process.

Project Monitoring and Resource Management

• - Track project progress against approved programmes and identify potential delays or resource constraints.
• - Monitor manpower deployment, procurement schedules, material requirements, and subcontractor activities.
• - Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to support the timely completion of installation and commissioning activities.
• - Address execution challenges through effective coordination and timely technical decisions.
• - Maintain project performance in line with established cost, schedule, and quality expectations.

Testing, Commissioning and Handover

• - Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for fire fighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems.
• - Ensure the completion of required inspections and compliance activities before final project handover.
• - Coordinate the necessary authority approvals, including applicable Dubai Civil Defence requirements.
• - Lead the final handover process and ensure that required completion and approval documentation is obtained.
• - Work with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to facilitate successful project closeout.

Qualifications and Experience

• - Bachelor 's degree or diploma.
• - 8-12 years of experience in fire fighting or fire protection projects.
• - Experience managing the execution of fire and life safety systems, including fire fighting, fire alarm, and emergency lighting installations.
• - Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, the UAE Fire and Life Safety Code of Practice, and Dubai Civil Defence requirements.
• - Experience coordinating design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• - Ability to supervise project execution and coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, clients, and suppliers.
