Job summary

MAKAMIN RECRUITMENT is seeking a Project Manager to lead electrical substation projects, including 11kV/33kV works, in the UAE. You will coordinate project teams, manage budget and schedule, and ensure compliance with TAQA standards, quality, and HSE requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, at least 10 years in substations and power distribution, and mandatory TAQA certification. Strong leadership and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical substation and power distribution projects.
• Proven experience managing 11kV/33kV substation projects in the UAE.
• TAQA Certification/Classification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards, project management, testing, commissioning and energization procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical substation projects.
• Lead project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve project objectives within budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with TAQA, consultants, clients, and utility authorities for approvals, inspections, and energization activities.
• Monitor project progress, costs, risks, and resource utilization.
• Ensure compliance with TAQA standards, UAE regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Review and approve engineering designs, technical submissions, method statements, and project documentation.
• Oversee installation and commissioning of transformers, switchgear, RMUs, protection systems, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare project reports and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
