Job summary

HSJB Business Solutions LLP in Abu Dhabi seeks an Electrical Engineer with TAQA approval and a minimum of seven years of UAE experience to design, test and oversee installation of electrical systems in strict compliance with TAQA regulations.

You will liaise with TAQA, ADDC and AADC for approvals, review single-line diagrams and load schedules, supervise HV/MV/LV substations and distribution networks, lead testing and handovers, and enforce OSHAD safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Active TAQA ADDC Competency Card approval is mandatory.
• Minimum 7 years of UAE experience in electrical engineering within construction or utility sectors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with TAQA regulations across designs and installations.
• Act as primary liaison with TAQA, ADDC and AADC for approvals and clearances.
• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics and load schedules against TAQA rules.

Job description

An Electrical Engineer with TAQA approval and a minimum of 7 years of UAE experience is responsible for designing testing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems ensuring strict compliance with the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company TAQA regulations

• Regulatory Compliance
• Act as the primary liaison with TAQA and ADDC AADC to secure power connection approvals load notifications and design clearances
• Design Review
• Evaluate electrical engineering drawings single-line diagrams SLDs schematic diagrams and load schedules against TAQA regulations
• Site Supervision
• Oversee the installation testing and commissioning of HV MV LV substations transformers switchgears and distribution networks
• Testing Commissioning
• Lead final testing procedures and facilitate formal handovers to local utility authorities
• Safety Standards
• Enforce electrical safety protocols on-site according to the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health Center OSHAD framework

Job Requirements
