Job Description: Civil QA/QC Engineer – Substation Construction Projects
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, monitor, and control civil construction works ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, relevant ITPs, and checklists.
- Maintain QA/QC documentation and logs, including inspection requests, test reports, NCRs, site notes, material delivery records, calibration/warranty certificates, and other project documents.
- Liaise with clients and consultants to implement all test and inspection schedules, ensuring adherence to RFC drawings, ITPs, checklists, and specifications.
- Prepare and submit method statements and risk assessments for all activities prior to commencement for client/consultant approval.
- Ensure quality of all materials at the site in accordance with project specifications, approved samples, and manufacturer’s technical data sheets.
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to maintain quality standards across all systems.
- Manage work methods, monitor continuous application of QA standards, and recommend corrective/preventive actions as needed.
- Maintain efficient systems and records for all project activities, analyze processes, and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- DEWA approval and other utility approvals in GCC.
Experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of civil construction experience in QA/QC, preferably in 132kV substation civil works.
