Job summary

MAKAMIN RECRUITMENT is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Substation (11 kV) to plan, execute, test, commission, and maintain 11 kV substations and related electrical infrastructure in the UAE.

The ideal candidate has TAQA or utility project experience, a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, and at least five years of hands-on experience with transformers, RMUs, switchgear, and protection systems, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• TAQA certification/classification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in 11 kV substation and power distribution projects.
• Experience with transformers, RMUs, switchgear, cable laying/termination, and commissioning activities.
• UAE utility experience, preferably with TAQA.
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, test, commission, and maintain 11 kV substations and related electrical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with TAQA and other utility authorities for energization and commissioning.
• Supervise site activities and ensure compliance with utility standards and safety regulations.
• Participate in project planning and coordination across EPC projects in the UAE.
