TELUS Digital is seeking a Project Coordinator for Vehicle Testing Operations in Dubai. You will serve as the primary operational contact between clients, drivers and the internal project team, coordinating daily testing activities, driver training, route assignments, and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

Job description

Join a fast-paced vehicle testing team supporting innovative automotive and mapping technology operations across major markets in the Middle East.

The Project Coordinator – Vehicle Testing Operations will serve as the primary operational point of contact between the client, Drivers, and internal project management team. This role is responsible for coordinating daily testing activities, conducting driver orientations and operational training, managing route assignments, monitoring driving progress, and ensuring that all testing activities are executed according to client requirements and established operational procedures.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and confident in managing client relationships and field operations. This position requires strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and monitoring skills, with the ability to manage multiple Drivers and ensure smooth execution of daily vehicle testing activities.

Client & Stakeholder Management

1. 1. Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day client coordination and operational concerns.
2. 2. Attend client meetings, project briefings, and operational updates.
3. 3. Communicate project requirements, operational updates, and performance expectations to Drivers.
4. 4. Address client inquiries, Escalate operational concerns, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
5. 5. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Driver Management & Training

1. 1. Conduct Driver onboarding, orientation, and operational training before deployment.
2. 2. Ensure Drivers understand assigned routes, driving schedules, testing procedures, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.
3. 3. Provide regular coaching and guidance to ensure compliance with client expectations.
4. 4. Monitor Driver attendance, punctuality, performance, and adherence to assigned schedules.
5. 5. Coordinate Driver deployment, shift schedules, replacements, and daily manpower requirements.

Route Assignment & Monitoring

1. 1. Prepare and distribute daily route assignments and driving schedules to Drivers.
2. 2. Monitor Driver progress and route completion throughout assigned shifts.
3. 3. Ensure Drivers strictly follow designated routes and testing instructions, with no unauthorized detours or deviations.
4. 4. Track daily driving distance, driving hours, route coverage, and task completion.
5. 5. Coordinate route adjustments and reassignment when operationally necessary and authorized.
6. 6. Identify route execution issues, delays, and deviations, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
7. 7. Ensure accurate recording and reporting of completed routes and assigned driving activities.

Project & Operational Coordination

1. 1. Oversee daily vehicle testing operations to ensure activities run smoothly and according to project timelines.
2. 2. Coordinate with Drivers, clients, and relevant operational teams to address day-to-day requirements.
3. 3. Monitor vehicle availability, deployment schedules, and operational readiness.
4. 4. Ensure completion and submission of daily operational reports, route logs, attendance records, and other required documentation.
5. 5. Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
6. 6. Escalate incidents, safety concerns, vehicle issues, and other critical operational matters promptly.
7. 7. Support project planning, resource allocation, and operational performance tracking.

Compliance, Safety & Reporting

1. 1. Ensure Drivers comply with traffic regulations, company policies, client requirements, and established safety procedures.
2. 2. Monitor compliance with assigned driving hours, rest periods, and operational schedules.
3. 3. Ensure all Drivers complete required safety briefings and operational training.
4. 4. Review daily reports and ensure accurate documentation of route completion, incidents, and irregularities.
5. 5. Prepare and present regular operational updates and performance reports to the client and management.
6. 6. Maintain confidentiality of client information, vehicle testing activities, and project-related data.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
2. 2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Project Coordination, Operations Management, Logistics, Fleet Management, or a similar role.
3. 3. Experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to communicate professionally and manage client expectations.
4. 4. Experience coordinating field personnel, drivers, or operational teams.
5. 5. Strong proficiency in GPS navigation, digital mapping applications, and route monitoring tools.
6. 6. Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
7. 7. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
8. 8. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English & Arabic..
9. 9. Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnight shifts, and weekends, depending on project requirements.
10. 10. Willingness to travel or be deployed within Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 1. Experience in automotive, vehicle testing, mapping, navigation, or geospatial projects.
2. 2. Experience managing Drivers or field operations teams across multiple locations.
3. 3. Familiarity with GPS tracking systems, route optimization tools, and real-time fleet monitoring platforms.
4. 4. Experience conducting training sessions, onboarding, and operational briefings.
5. 5. Previous experience working with international clients or multinational project teams.
6. 6. Knowledge of fleet operations, vehicle safety, and road regulations within the Middle East.
7. 7. Experience preparing operational dashboards, KPIs, and client performance reports.
