Job summary

SamTech Group in Dubai seeks a diligent GPS Installation Technician for on-site vehicle installations and repairs. You will install, remove, and transfer GPS units, ensuring operational functionality and timely customer visits.

Role requires UAE driving license, knowledge of GPS installation, and ability to troubleshoot hardware issues. Training customers’ technicians may be required, with professional reporting after each visit.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electronics or equivalent.
• 2 years in GPS & GPS accessories installation.
• UAE driver's license is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, transfer GPS units and tecnhology in customer vehicles with proper functionality.
• Coordinate with customer support to ensure installations meet schedules.
• Ensure vehicle condition is unchanged after handover.
• Use only tools approved by the technical supervisor.
• Keep tools and assets in good working condition and report damages.
• Maintain SamTech uniform and professional conduct during visits.
• Prepare and submit detailed visit reports to the customer support team the same day.
• Troubleshoot and rectify hardware-related issues.
• Train customers’ technicians when required.
• Report completed activities to the operations team immediately after work.

Job description

Job Summary:

• Responsible for the installation and repair of GPS Fleet Tracking Units /Telematics Equipment into customer vehicles of all types.

Major Responsibilities:

• Managing the GPS units’ installations / Removals / Transfers and ensuring a proper functionality of the unit by coordinating with the customer support agent.
• Making sure that the vehicle is left in the same condition it was at the handover.
• Getting restricted by the schedules set by the customer support agents and making sure to be present at the customer location on time.
• Making sure to use only the tools that are approved by the technical supervisor.
• Ensuring the tools and all the company assets are kept in good working condition.
• Always report to the technical supervisor in case of any damage or loss to any tool or asset.
• SamTech uniform cleanliness has to be maintained.
• Preparing a detailed report after each customer visit and submitting it to the customer support agent on the same day through Email.
• Troubleshoot and rectify any hardware-related issues.
• Managing the new hardware tests and reporting the observations to the technical supervisor.
• Training the customers’ technicians when it is required.
• Reporting to the operations team the completed activities immediately after getting the work done.
• Always communicating with the customer 30 min prior the visit to ensure vehicle availability.
• Always notifying the customer in case any probabilities to reach late.
• Any other work-related task that may arise.

Skills:

• Mandatory: Technician must be able to install all sensors (Fuel/Temperature / Door /Camera).
• Knowledge of GPS Installation is mandatory.
• UAE driver's license is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Auto Electric works / Vehicle Electrification is an added advantage.
• Basic Communication skills both verbal & written.
• Strong dedication to customer service.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
