Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 20+ years of MEP construction experience. UAE/GCC background preferred.
• Experience with high-rise towers, large mixed-use developments, or mega infra projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, ELV and BMS systems across projects.
• Lead BIM/MEP coordination to resolve clashes with architectural and structural teams.
• Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, IST and final handover with zero defects.
• Manage project costs, subcontractor claims, variations and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor procurement of long-lead materials to prevent site delays.
• Implement value engineering to reduce costs while maintaining quality.

MEP Project Manager in Dubai

MEP Project Manager in Dubai is required by our rapidly expanding client. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the complete lifecycle of MEP services on major construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with Dubai's unique building regulations. In Dubai's rapid construction environment, this role heavily emphasizes high-rise vertical distribution, large-scale cooling networks, and dealing directly with local utility authorities.

Responsibilities

• Project Execution & Technical Management System Oversight: Manage HVAC (chilled water systems), electrical distribution (MDB/SMDB, busbar risers), plumbing, firefighting, Extra Low Voltage (ELV), and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Coordination: Lead BIM/MEP coordination to detect and resolve clashes between architectural, structural, and civil components before site execution.
• Testing & Handover: Oversee testing, pre-commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and final project handover with zero defects.
• Commercial & Financial Control Budget Tracking: Manage project costs, review subcontractor claims, approve variations, and forecast cash flows.
• Procurement: Monitor long-lead material deliveries (such as chillers or generators) to eliminate potential site delays.
• Value Engineering: Implement technical optimizations to lower costs without sacrificing build quality or system performance.
• Dubai Authorities & Compliance Local Approvals: Coordinate directly with local utility providers and authorities to secure structural connections and formal clearances:

Essential Experience

• Degree: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Overall Experience: 20+ years in MEP construction.
• Local Experience: Minimum 15+ years of dedicated project management experience within the UAE / GCC construction market.
• Project Portfolio: Proven track record handling high-rise towers (often 50+ storeys), large mixed-use developments, or mega infrastructure projects.
• Verticals - should have strong experience within real estate and Airport construction
• Software: Proficiency in Auto CAD, Primavera P6 (for scheduling), and BIM coordination software (Navisworks/Revit).
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred
• Leadership: Strong negotiation capabilities to manage complex relationships between main contractors, consultants, and multi-disciplinary site teams
