4SPACE Design, Site-Based Dubai, is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Resident Engineer to oversee interior fit-out projects from planning through handover, delivering design-led interiors for high-end commercial, hospitality, and retail environments.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in the UAE, strong leadership and client coordination skills, and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with a focus on interior fit-out project delivery in the UAE.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and project reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of interior fit-out projects from start to handover.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and local authorities to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource planning.
• Manage client expectations, ensuring design intent and quality standards.
• Chair progress meetings and coordination reviews.
• Supervise and manage all on-site fit-out activities, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Oversee coordination of interior architecture, finishes, MEP services, and millwork installation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials, mock-ups, and ensure all works align with design and technical requirements.
• Monitor compliance with authority regulations, construction safety standards, and site protocols.
• Identify site issues early, provide on-the-spot technical resolutions, and ensure seamless handover stages.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager / Resident Engineer with a strong background in interior fit-out project delivery. This role combines strategic project oversight with full-time on-site supervision to ensure successful execution of high-quality, design-led interior projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, with a proven track record managing interior fit-out works in the UAE, including high-end commercial, hospitality, or retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of interior fit-out projects from start to handover.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and local authorities to ensure alignment on project goals.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource planning, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Manage client expectations, ensuring all deliverables meet design intent and quality standards.
• Chair progress meetings and coordination reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise and manage all on-site fit-out activities, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design specifications.
• Oversee coordination of interior architecture, finishes, MEP services, and millwork installation.
• Review and approve shop drawings, materials, mock-ups, and ensure all works align with design and technical requirements.
• Monitor compliance with authority regulations, construction safety standards, and site protocols.
• Identify site issues early, provide on-the-spot technical resolutions, and ensure seamless handover stages.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure precision in detailing, finishing, and alignment with approved design intent and materials.
• Enforce quality control processes, including inspections, snag lists, and rectifications.
• Collaborate with HSE representatives to enforce health and safety plans, risk assessments, and site audits.

Reporting & Documentation

• Submit regular progress reports, including site status, quality control updates, and action items.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for inspections, approvals, correspondence, and site logs.
• Support the commercial team with variation tracking, progress valuation, and claims assessment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience, with a clear focus on interior fit-out project delivery in the UAE.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end fit-out scope, including joinery, finishes, MEP, and client coordination.
• Strong understanding of UAE building codes, authority approval processes, and industry best practices.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project/Primavera, and project reporting tools.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to manage site teams and contractors effectively.
