Job summary

Professional Pyramid is seeking a senior project engineer for multi-disciplinary oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will manage major projects from inception through handover, coordinating design, procurement, contracts, and PMCs to ensure scope, safety, quality and schedule targets are met.

You will supervise project teams, interface with contractors and stakeholders, and drive progress reporting and cost control through all execution phases.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of project engineering and project execution in Oil & Gas.
• Strong contract management and project planning knowledge.
• PMP certification required.

Responsibilities

About the Company

In this role you are responsible for managing, supervising, and controlling the development and implementation of major multi-disciplined engineering projects from inception through completion, commissioning, start-up, and handover, covering new plants, facilities, and modifications to existing plant and systems.

About the Role

You will provide technical input into proposals, coordinate engineering design activities, manage materials specifications, and oversee procurement management and contract tendering. You will interface with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and HSE requirements, manage Project Management Consultants (PMC), and direct project management teams through all execution phases.

Responsibilities

• You will lead technical input into proposals, coordinate engineering design, manage materials specifications, and provide technical management of procurement and contract tendering.
• You will interface with external parties, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and company procedures.
• You will manage Project Management Consultants (PMC) and ensure effective site supervision, project administration, and progress reporting.
• You will lead project teams through all execution phases from initiation, engineering, and procurement through construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• You will manage multinational contractors to ensure projects are executed within approved HSE requirements, schedules, budgets, and contractual objectives.
• You will direct multi-discipline engineering teams and exercise financial authority according to management approval levels.
• You will define project scopes and objectives, assess cost and technical feasibility, and develop project proposals from inception through implementation.
• You will develop and refine project designs, specifications, costs, and execution strategies in coordination with Finance and other relevant divisions.
• You will initiate and approve work programs, contractor terms of reference, and project standards and working procedures.
• You will control project budgets, contract costs, procurement activities, bidder pre-qualification, authorization for expenditure, and variation orders.
• You will develop and oversee project safety programs, audit contractor compliance with safety rules, and implement corrective measures when deficiencies are identified.
• You will coordinate financial and commercial project matters including forecasts, tender board participation, and contractor performance evaluations.
• You will prepare weekly highlights and monthly progress reports covering engineering, procurement, construction, cost, schedule, and safety performance.
• You will maintain technical integrity of surface facilities and deliver major development projects within HSE, quality, budget, and schedule targets.
• You will recommend acceptance or rejection of contractor work programs and project execution proposals against company engineering standards.

Qualifications

This role requires 12 years of professional experience in project engineering and project execution within Oil & Gas projects, sound knowledge of contract management and project planning, and a PMP certification.

Expected Salary

40,000 - 55,000 AED P/M + generous benefits package
