Job summary

ABU ALNAGA CONTRACTING in the UAE is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing construction team focused on high-rise buildings. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor all phases from mobilization to handover, ensuring alignment with drawings, specs, and safety standards.

The role requires close collaboration with architects, structural and MEP engineers, specialists, and subcontractors to manage schedules, budgets, quality, and site activities, while preparing progress reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional engineering registration or certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all phases of high-rise building construction from mobilization to project handover.
• Review drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements for compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, structural and MEP engineers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower plans, and resource allocation.
• Supervise daily site activities and ensure progress per approved schedules.
• Monitor quality and compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Coordinate material procurement, inspections, and timely delivery of materials.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.
• Review and certify subcontractor work progress and support payments.
• Manage RFIs, technical submittals, material approvals, and change orders.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure quality and safety.
• Assist in project cost control, budgeting, and variation management.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.

Abu Alnaga Contracting is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join our growing team in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor all phases of high-rise building construction from mobilization to project handover.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, manpower plans, and resource allocation.
• Supervise daily site activities and ensure work progresses according to approved schedules.
• Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with project specifications, local building codes, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate material procurement, inspections, and timely delivery of construction materials and equipment.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for project management.
• Review and certify subcontractor work progress and support payment applications.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), technical submittals, material approvals, and change orders.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Assist in project cost control, budgeting, and variation management.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, and project handover activities.
• Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional engineering registration or certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in high-rise building construction projects.
• Proven experience managing reinforced concrete structures, finishing works, and coordination of MEP activities.
• Experience working with main contractors on multi-storey residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
