Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layouts, elevations and modification drawings for warehouses and offices.

• Plan and coordinate project execution from initiation to completion.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Engineer – Design, Authority Approvals & Fit-Out to manage engineering design, authority approvals, estimation, project execution and client coordination for commercial, industrial and warehouse modification projects. The successful candidate will coordinate with government authorities, prepare technical documentation, manage project execution and ensure compliance with UAE regulations while delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.

Design & Engineering

• Prepare architectural drawings, shop drawings and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop layout plans, elevations and modification drawings for warehouses, offices, industrial facilities and commercial buildings.
• Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with applicable standards and authority regulations.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and architectural consultants.

Authority Approvals

• Prepare documentation required for approvals from:
  • Dubai Municipality (DM)
  • Trakhees
  • JAFZA
  • Dubai Development Authority (DDA)
• Submit applications and follow up until approvals and permits are obtained.
• Attend authority inspections and technical meetings.
• Resolve technical comments raised by approving authorities.

Project Management

• Plan and coordinate project execution from initiation to completion.
• Monitor project progress, schedules and resource allocation.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines.

Client Management

• Meet clients to understand project requirements.
• Explain authority approval procedures and documentation.
• Provide technical advice and engineering solutions.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

• Prepare BOQs and quantity take-offs.
• Perform material quantity estimation and rate analysis.
• Prepare project quotations and cost estimates.
• Support procurement and supplier negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets and cost control.

Site Supervision

• Conduct site inspections and measurements.
• Supervise construction activities and labour teams.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings.
• Monitor quality, safety and workmanship.
• Resolve technical issues during execution.

Documentation

• Prepare technical reports and project documentation.
• Maintain project records.
• Prepare invoices, purchase orders and delivery documentation where required.
• Coordinate project close-out documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• UAE Driving Licence.
• AutoCAD proficiency.
• Knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority approval procedures.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies.

Experience

• 3–6 years' experience as a Project Engineer within the UAE.
• Experience handling authority approvals with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, JAFZA and DDA.
• Experience in warehouse modifications, commercial fit-out or industrial projects.
• Experience in estimation and BOQ preparation.
• Experience coordinating clients, contractors and consultants.
