Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Project Development Engineer for Security Systems in Dubai to support the aftermarket and ELV projects. You will design security solutions, conduct site surveys, and participate in pre-sales activities to drive project success.

You will collaborate with sales engineers, coordinate with vendors, and ensure solutions meet customer requirements and timelines, using your expertise in Access Control, CCTV and ELV systems.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or similar.
• 4–5 years UAE experience in estimation of Security/ELV systems.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Visio and AutoCAD.
• Fluent in English; UAE driving license is preferred.

Responsibilities

What you will do

The Project Development Engineer - Security Systems is key a role directly reporting to Pre Sales Lead . You will be based in Dubai office and will be part of a growing team and be responsible for driving the growth of business for Aftermarket division segment of Building Technology and Solutions with focus on Security & ELV Systems. You will be supporting sales team on application specific jobs and product information. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to support the team with the pre-sales/estimation.

How you will do it

• As an Experienced Project Development Engineer you need to have a complex knowledge in designing security systems solution involving Access Controls, CCTV and other ELV systems.


• You will carry out site surveys for the assigned territory and involve subcontractors and vendors as required.


• You will be attending sales presentations with the sales Engineers.


• As a Project Development Engineer you will be interacting with end users via phone or in person to gather information regarding the specifications to be produced, resolve problems.


• Market knowledge of different security brands and suppliers is essential.


• You will be using strong customer relationship skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers and vendors).


• As a Security & ELV solution specialist, you will be leading the peer-to-peer meetings with Operations; Procurement, commercial team and other internal stake-holders as necessary to ensure project scope, objectives, timeline, and customer requirements are complied as part of the solution proposed to the customer.

What we look for

• Required Degree/Diploma – Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentations or similar


• Minimum 4-5 Years’ UAE experience in Estimation of Security and ELV systems


• Negotiation skills and vendor management


• Proficient in using MS Office Suite, Visio and AutoCAD tools.

• Professional verbal and written communication skills


• Excellent inter-personal skills - must be able to adapt working style to the personalities and work styles of our stakeholders and internal partners


• Fluency in the English language is essential

• Must have a UAE driving license

• Security Products Certifications


• Knowledge about JCI/Tyco security systems MCC / SIRA certified
