Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Project Development Engineer - Security Systems in Dubai to drive the growth of the Aftermarket division within Building Technology and Solutions.

The role focuses on Security & ELV systems, supporting the sales team with pre-sales and estimation work. You will conduct site surveys, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, and contribute to sales presentations to align project scope and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation or similar.
• Minimum 4–5 years UAE experience in estimation of Security and ELV systems.
• Negotiation skills and vendor management.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Visio and AutoCAD tools.
• Strong customer-facing approach and professional communication.
• UAE driving license is required.

Responsibilities

• Design security systems solutions involving Access Controls, CCTV and ELV systems.
• Perform site surveys in the assigned territory and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors.
• Attend sales presentations with Sales Engineers.
• Gather end-user specifications, resolve issues, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Lead peer-to-peer meetings to ensure scope, timeline and customer requirements are met.

What you will do

The Project Development Engineer - Security Systems is key a role directly reporting to Pre Sales Lead . You will be based in Dubai office and will be part of a growing team and be responsible for driving the growth of business for Aftermarket division segment of Building Technology and Solutions with focus on Security & ELV Systems.

You will be supporting sales team on application specific jobs and product information. As a member of this team, you will work within a vibrant environment that provides a platform for you to use your experience to support the team with the pre-sales/estimation.

How you will do it

As an Experienced Project Development Engineer you need to have a complex knowledge in designing security systems solution involving Access Controls, CCTV and other ELV systems. You will carry out site surveys for the assigned territory and involve subcontractors and vendors as required. You will be attending sales presentations with the sales Engineers.

As a Project Development Engineer you will be interacting with end users via phone or in person to gather information regarding the specifications to be produced, resolve problems. Market knowledge of different security brands and suppliers is essential. You will be using strong customer relationship skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers and vendors).

As a Security & ELV solution specialist, you will be leading the peer-to-peer meetings with Operations; Procurement, commercial team and other internal stake-holders as necessary to ensure project scope, objectives, timeline, and customer requirements are complied as part of the solution proposed to the customer.
