Project Development & Construction Associate – Dubai

This major UK and international law firm has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious mid‑to‑senior‑level associate to join their busy and thriving Project Development & Construction practice in Dubai. Their highly rated team advises an impressive list of major corporations and global financial institutions operating in the energy and infrastructure sectors across the ME region on innovative and complex large‑scale projects which are frequently in the headlines.

The team focus essentially on project structuring, development implementation and construction, whilst also advising on projects aspects of financings, sector M&A deals and major project procurement. The group work closely with external advisors, financial and technical, and with colleagues from other disciplines based in Dubai and internationally to better support projects through their entire life cycle.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

• Excellent technical legal skills, ideally gained within multi‑jurisdictional environments, with experience in managing/supporting multifaceted projects that often have a transformative effect on countries and people (i.e., energy/power (oil & gas + renewable), water, transport, social infrastructure, real estate).
• Experience particularly sought in advising on complex high‑end project documents (incl. revenue contracts (oil & gas and/or hydrogen sectors, as well as PPAs), concessions, and other commercial project contracts), as well as bespoke EPC / construction contracts.
• Applicants should also ideally be UK or Commonwealth qualified lawyers, with experience gained in a major law firm with an established energy and/or infrastructure reputation; MENA region experience and fluency in Arabic while beneficial are not essential.
