Job summary

Client of Aventus Global Talent is seeking a junior Contentious Construction Associate to join its busy Middle East disputes team in Dubai. The role offers exposure to international arbitration and construction-related litigation across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

Ideal candidates are NQ to 3PQE with experience in contentious construction or international arbitration and are open to relocation to Dubai or already based in the Middle East.

Qualifications

• Relevant contentious construction or international arbitration experience at a leading firm.
• Disputes training seat with clear interest in construction.
• Open to candidates in the Middle East or UK-qualified lawyers relocating to Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to international arbitration and construction disputes.
• Draft pleadings, submissions and dispute correspondence.
• Collaborate with delay and quantum experts on major regional projects.
• Develop within a busy Middle East disputes practice with early responsibility.

Opportunity to join a leading international law firm looking to hire a junior Contentious Construction Associate into its established and busy Middle East practice This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ 3PQE lawyer to build specialist experience across complex high-value construction and infrastructure disputes throughout the UAE Saudi Arabia and wider GCC

About the role

The role will offer exposure to International arbitration and construction-related litigationMajor infrastructure energy utilities and real estate disputesDelay disruption variations defects EOT payment and termination claimsFIDIC and other standard and bespoke construction contractsDrafting pleadings submissions and dispute correspondenceWorking closely with technical delay and quantum expertsMajor regional projects involving developers employers contractors and other project participantsThe successful candidate will work directly with experienced Middle East disputes Partners and senior lawyers with early responsibility client exposure and the opportunity to develop within a genuinely busy and growing construction disputes practice
