  • Ensure manufacturing activities are carried out according to approved production plans, technical drawings, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review daily output against targets and implement corrective actions to address production shortfalls.
  • Coordinate work-in-progress movement between machining, fabrication, assembly, testing, and finishing stages, as applicable.
Pump Assembly & Manufacturing Operations
  • Supervise the assembly of pump components, mechanical seals, bearings, impellers, shafts, casings, couplings, base frames, and associated accessories.
  • Ensure correct assembly practices, component fitment, alignment, clearances, and torque requirements are followed.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities involving electric motor-driven and diesel engine-driven fire pump systems.
  • Monitor fabrication, machining, drilling, welding, surface preparation, painting, and finishing activities where applicable.
  • Verify that components are manufactured and assembled according to engineering drawings, bill of materials, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate the assembly of pump skids, control panels, piping arrangements, and packaged systems where required.
  • Identify assembly errors, dimensional deviations, component defects, and process issues, ensuring timely corrective action.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to resolve production-related problems and improve manufacturing methods.
Quality Control & Testing Coordination
  • Ensure production activities comply with approved quality procedures, inspection plans, and product specifications.
  • Coordinate with the quality control team to inspect incoming components, in-process assemblies, and completed products.
  • Verify critical assembly parameters, dimensional tolerances, component identification, and traceability requirements.
  • Ensure pumps and associated systems are prepared for performance testing and final inspection.
  • Coordinate testing activities to verify relevant performance parameters, including flow, pressure, and operational functionality.
  • Ensure non-conformities are documented, investigated, and resolved before products proceed to the next production stage.
  • Monitor rework, rejection rates, and recurring quality issues, implementing preventive measures to improve consistency.
  • Maintain production inspection records and ensure required documentation is completed before product release.
  • Support compliance with applicable product certification and testing requirements, including relevant UL, FM, and NFPA 20 requirements where applicable to the product and assigned process.
Workforce Supervision & Productivity
  • Supervise production technicians, fitters, assemblers, machinists, welders, and other manufacturing personnel.
  • Allocate daily responsibilities and monitor employee productivity, attendance, discipline, and workmanship.
