Job summary

Fujairah Confidential is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for a construction-focused role. You will strategize to cut costs, identify profitable suppliers, and lead negotiations to secure favorable terms.

The role reports to the Manager and requires strong analytical and leadership skills. You will oversee supplier relationships, manage budgets, and coordinate with civil and MEP teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contracts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field.
  • Experience in procurement within construction (Civil and MEP) preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and networking skills.
  • Proficient with procurement software (SAP, Candy or similar) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors.
  • Approve purchase orders and coordinate delivery of goods and services.
  • Review existing contracts for feasibility and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Track key metrics to cut expenses and improve procurement effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify specs and expectations.
  • Forecast changes in supplier pricing and capabilities.
  • Conduct risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Build long-term relationships with vendors and manage procurement budgets.
  • Oversee systems that track shipments, inventory, and materials flow.
  • Prepare procurement reports.

Job description

Procurement Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find cost-effective deals and suppliers. The Procurement Manager’s duty is to discover the best ways to cut procurement expenses, so that the company can invest in growth and people. Reporting directly to Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
  • Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.
  • Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Overseeing and managing the systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of materials.
  • Preparing procurement reports.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar category.
Required Experience & Licenses

An experienced Procurement Manager in the construction field for both Civil and MEP.

Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
  • Talent in negotiations and networking
  • Good knowledge of using supply chain management software and tools (SAP, Candy Application or similar)
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data
  • Management and leadership skills
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
