Responsibilities

• Assist in developing departmental procurement policies, standards, and cost-effective procedures.
• Supervise procurement and contract management activities in line with GMG policies.
• Oversee monthly physical verification and reconciliation of stock to ensure cost compliance.
• Monitor consumption patterns, storage cost, and inventory carrying cost to maintain control systems.
• Manage competitive bidding including preparation of RFPs/RFQs, receipt, evaluation, and custody of bids.
• Track contract progress, payment status, and project contract reporting.
• Develop supplier sourcing strategies in consultation with relevant departments.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers for major service contracts.
• Maintain detailed archiving of procurement documents including RFIs, RFQs, proposals, QCS sheets, and payment vouchers.
• Support improvements to procurement workflows and cost optimization.
• Ensure accurate documentation for audit readiness.
