Position Overview

GMG in Dubai is hiring an Inventory Manager to lead inventory planning, control, verification, and SAP-based stock governance across its multi-vertical operations. The role ensures stock accuracy, shrinkage control, system integrity, and full compliance with GMG's SOPs across warehouses, distribution centers, and retail stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end inventory strategies tailored to multiple GMG business segments
• Define and manage the annual and cyclic stock count calendar across all verticals
• Coordinate with retail operations, warehouse teams, and finance to prepare for inventory events
• Ensure readiness of systems, teams, and pre-count checks prior to stock counts
• Standardize inventory best practices while customizing workflows for category-specific needs
• Lead physical stock counts including cycle, perpetual, and full counts in accordance with SOPs
• Coordinate cross-geography execution of inventory events with internal and external teams
• Drive variance analysis, identify shortage and overage trends, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure timely resolution of stock count discrepancies between stores, DCs, and finance
• Oversee shrinkage investigations and maintain complete documentation
• Ensure reconciled stock is accurately posted in SAP ERP/EWM within defined SLAs
• Validate manual adjustments for proper justification and approval
• Deliver post-inventory audit reports and recommendations for operational improvements
• Lead optimization of ERP and WMS inventory processes across GMG warehouses and channels
• Standardize and document inventory control processes, enabling digitization and automation
• Build and manage inventory KPIs including accuracy, shrinkage, and aging
• Produce inventory dashboards, performance reports, and corrective action insights
• Collaborate with Finance for inventory valuation and audit requirements
• Govern inventory flows and transactions in SAP ERP/EWM (MM/IM/EWM)
• Resolve system mismatches involving GRNs, STOs, returns, and transfers
• Partner with IT on process automation, enhancements, and system integrity
• Adapt inventory controls to category-specific requirements across sports, supermarkets, pharmacy, and furniture divisions
• Lead a team of inventory controllers and warehouse supervisors
• Define KPIs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with business heads, audit, finance, compliance, IT, and operations teams
• Present inventory dashboards and insights to senior leadership
