Volantes Recruitment are supporting a confidential advanced eVTOL engineering programme with the appointment of a Principal-level Battery Life & Fleet Health Engineer. This highly technical role focuses on lithium-ion battery degradation, life prediction and state-of-health strategy for demanding, safety-critical applications.

The successful candidate will lead modelling, testing and validation activities to extend battery life, define retirement criteria and ensure fleet readiness across

Qualifications

10+ years of battery engineering experience.
Deep understanding of lithium-ion degradation mechanisms.
Experience with cycle-life and calendar ageing prediction.
Ability to develop accelerated ageing test programmes.
Expertise in battery life-prediction modelling and validation.
Defined state-of-health (SOH) criteria and estimation methods.
Experience defining retirement/replacement criteria for battery assets.
