Volantes Recruitment are supporting a confidential advanced eVTOL engineering programme with the appointment of a Principal-level Battery Life & Fleet Health Engineer. This highly technical role focuses on lithium-ion battery degradation, life prediction and state-of-health strategy for demanding, safety-critical applications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of battery engineering experience.
• Deep understanding of lithium-ion degradation mechanisms.
• Experience with cycle-life and calendar ageing prediction.
• Ability to develop accelerated ageing test programmes.
• Expertise in battery life-prediction modelling and validation.
• Defined state-of-health (SOH) criteria and estimation methods.
• Experience defining retirement/replacement criteria for battery assets.
