Job description

Primary French Teacher - Young Learners in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a full‑time primary‑secondary education teaching opportunity for a passionate French language educator who can create an engaging, inclusive and confidence‑building classroom for primary students. This role requires strong French language knowledge, practical pedagogy and the ability to help young learners develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, pronunciation, vocabulary and early communication skills through creative and age‑appropriate instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach French to primary students using age‑appropriate methods that encourage participation, curiosity and confidence.
• Plan creative lessons that develop vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading and basic writing.
• Use stories, songs, games, flashcards, visual resources, role play and interactive tasks to make language learning enjoyable.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment where young learners feel safe to practice French and make progress at their own pace.
• Prepare worksheets, activities, assessments and learning resources aligned with primary‑level language objectives.
• Monitor student progress through class participation, oral tasks, written exercises, observations and simple assessments.
• Provide supportive feedback that helps students improve pronunciation, fluency, comprehension and confidence.
• Adapt teaching strategies for mixed‑ability learners and provide additional support where required.
• Maintain effective classroom management while encouraging respectful communication and active engagement.
• Communicate with coordinators, parents and school leaders regarding student learning, progress and classroom needs.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson planning, student progress, assessment outcomes and academic updates.
• Contribute to school activities, language events, cultural celebrations and team planning when required.

Ideal Profile

• Strong background in French language and teaching methodology.
• Relevant qualification in French, education, languages or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching French to primary or young learners is an advantage.
