GEMS Education invites applications for a Primary ELL / Inclusion Teacher to support internationalPrimary learners in the UAE. The role focuses on language development, personalised interventions and collaborative planning with classroom staff to remove barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will foster inclusive practice, track progress and communicate with parents while contributing to a diverse, multilingual school community in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Qualified Primary teaching credential such as B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree meeting UAE teacher approval requirements.
• Experience teaching or supporting Primary/Elementary students.
• Experience supporting English Language Learners (ELL) or students with need.
• EL/L/ SEND or Inclusion qualification would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Primary students with English language acquisition and additional learning needs.
• Plan and deliver targeted individual, small-group, and in-class interventions.
• Assess language and learning needs to plan appropriate support.
• Differentiate learning with classroom teachers to access curriculum.
• Develop personalised learning strategies and student support plans.
• Monitor progress and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
• Support speaking, listening, reading, and writing across the curriculum.
• Provide teachers with strategies to support multilingual learners.
• Build positive relationships to foster confidence and belonging.
• Communicate progress with parents and collaborators.
• Collaborate with Inclusion, ELL, pastoral and Primary teams.
